If anything those things would make the game harder, which would go against the complaint being made that the mode is "too hard."Īlso, I've been playing Infamous mode recently, and honestly I don't find the difficulty that bad. In terms of special attack sets/behaviors/etc, I can't really think of anything they could add. I think "lazy" is a hard word for me to get behind in a general sense, especially when Infamous mode was added to the game much later after release, completely free of charge. The only reason why I'm doing this is to get the Deputy uniform which of course they had to store behind this trainwreck. It's unbalanced, makes enemies overpowered and turns the rest of the game into pure unenjoyable ass. This? This is just S.T.A.L.K.E.R difficulty.
Metro did difficulty perfectly by having both the player character and the enemies equally weak but deal the same amount of damage, resulting in a more realistic and balanced combat. If I'm going to be this weak, might as well make enemies weaker too. With a New Game + fully perked up character, not only I die easily like I'm still a starter, but I get spotted so goddamn frequently that if I don't get into cover within three seconds of being in some enemy's line of sight, I am guaranteed to have all of my health shot out and be required to either use one of my still limited 5 medkits or tough it out and wait for my health to regenerate even slower than it did in the main game. This is just not how you make a game challenging, this is how you make a game frustratingly unfair and not fun to play.
